We support archaeological fieldwork and heritage preservation.
The Etruscan Foundation has a long tradition of supporting scholarship in Etruscology, Italic Studies and related disciplines for a half century. Young and developing scholars have received fellowships from the Foundation to help defray the costs of participation in field schools, archaeological conservation programs and research projects at Etruscan and other pre-Roman sites across Italy.
Fieldwork and conservation fellowships are available to advanced undergraduate and graduate students enrolled at accredited North American colleges and universities. A Research Fellowship is available for Ph.D. candidates (ABD), independent researchers and untenured faculty. Please refer to the relevant award page for more detailed information about the application process, or contact The Etruscan Foundation at: office@etruscanfoundation.org.

“I find it fascinating to learn from smaller museums with such close relationships to the team onsite. Collaboration with experts is, in my opinion, the best way to ensure the display includes accurate archaeological context with the found materials. I am grateful to the Etruscan Foundation for affording me this incredible experience, which has definitively determined that I love every part of archaeology, and I cannot wait to continue my journey with fieldwork in a leadership role.”
